Our Programmes
We aim to build and promote effective models for development in Health, Education and Water sectors.
Join us in our mission today.
Health
The Foundation places a high premium on quality health care for communities. The Foundation recognizes the challenges faced by the communities in accessing healthcare. The Foundation has spearheaded healthcare infrastructure in selected counties for the benefit of the communities. This mainly involved rehabilitation of health facilities.
The Foundation’s health programme intends to provide:
- Additional health infrastructure especially in rural Kenya.
- Recruitment and training of medical staff.
- Improved information management of health sector.
Education
We focus on education which is a core pillar of the Foundation’s activities. Access to basic education is one of the constitutional rights of every child in Kenya. In most of the areas where the Foundation has rolled out education programs, literacy and retention levels are low while school drop outs are very high. Through the support of our local and international partners, the Foundation sets out to change this scenario by setting up education programs in selected counties.
The Foundation’s education programme intends to provide:
- Additional classrooms, classroom furniture, teaching materials and teaching assistance to schools that are not able to cover operational costs.
- Financial support to needy students to enable them to go through secondary education without the risk of dropping out.
- An endowment portfolio for the education sector to increase income generating activities for sustainability.
Water
Safe drinking water is critical to sustenance of healthy lives both for livestock and for human beings. The Foundation is well-known for its strategically-located and life saving boreholes and artesian wells that facilitate the availability of safe and clean water to communities in need across Kenya. The Foundation helps pastoralist communities in arid and semi-arid areas rehabilitate watering points to improve access to drinking water for livestock.
The Foundation’s health programme intends to provide:
- Drilling of additional boreholes and water pans.
- Establishment of structures for management of water.
- Training of water users.
